Contact us
Email hello@freecampguide.com. It comes straight to me — I'm May, and I run this site.
It's just me here, so a reply can take a few days. I do read everything.
Corrections are the most useful thing you can send
If you have been somewhere we list and found it different from what we say, please tell us. The things worth reporting:
- A charge where we say it is free. Tell us what you were charged and roughly when.
- A road that has changed — washed out, gated, or much rougher than we suggest.
- A site that has closed or is no longer open to camping.
- Anything simply wrong — a wrong town, a wrong distance, a facility we say exists that does not.
The address of the page helps enormously, and the date you were there helps even more.
Things we genuinely cannot help with
We are not a government agency and have no connection to any of them. We cannot:
- issue, check or cancel a permit of any kind;
- tell you whether a road or an area is open today;
- give you current fire restrictions or closure notices;
- reserve anything, or take a booking.
For any of those, contact the agency that manages the land. Every listing on this site links to its official page, which is the right place to start.
Adding a site
If you know a free camping spot on public land that is not listed, send it over. We can only add places where camping is officially allowed and a public record confirms it, so a link or the official name helps.
We do not take paid listings, and no amount of money will move a site up a page.
Anything else
Press, other site owners, or anyone wanting to use the information here — same address. There is no phone number; email is the only way to reach us.
