Privacy policy
Last updated September 2026
The short version
We do not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else about you. There is no account to create and no newsletter to join. The only information collected is the ordinary, anonymous kind that any website and any advertiser collects, and you can turn most of it off.
What we collect ourselves
We record which listings people open, which outbound links they click, and which of the “have you been here” buttons they press. This is stored without any identifier that points at a person. We use it to work out which parts of the guide are useful and which need improving.
Your browser also stores a small amount of information on your own device to remember those button presses. It never leaves your device except as the anonymous counts described above, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Advertising
This site carries no advertising at present and sets no advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will say so before it does.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect information that identifies you, there is normally nothing personal for us to show you or delete. If you are in California, the United Kingdom or the European Union and believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will deal with it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
