About this place
3,500 acres of public land, nearly all of it canyon. It is a slot in the ground.
The canyon is 16 miles long and about half a mile wide, and it carries Salmon Falls. Its walls are vertical and it winds a great deal.
It cuts 300 to 600 feet down into the Antelope Pocket lava plain, and a lot of plants, fish and animals live in it.

Getting there
From Castleford, drive south on 900 East to Lilly Grade, about 6 miles. For the southern end instead, drive west from Rogerson about 7.5 miles on the Three Creek Highway.
