About this place
A picnic area in a shady grove of cottonwoods, near the eastern end of the Owyhee Uplands Backcountry Byway. That road is also called the Mud Flat Road.
It stands alone out here. Nowhere else in the region is developed at all. There are tables, grills, fire grates, one vault toilet, shade and a short trail.

Getting there
From Grand View, take Hwy 78 east for 2.1 miles. Where Hwy 78 bends left to the east, keep straight on south onto Mud Flat Road. That road is part of the Owyhee Uplands Backcountry Byway. Stay on it about 18 miles to reach the site.
