About this place
This is a rustic horse camp 40 minutes south of Paisley, with views out to Steens Mountain and Mount Shasta.
Each site has a picnic table and a fire grate. There are four campsites here, one hitching post and one vault toilet.
There are no corrals here, and no short rides. This works best as a stop-over.
It is about 20 miles from Moss Meadows to Currier Springs on the Fremont National Recreation Trail.
Or ride west along the road for about five miles to the Chewaucan River. That stretch crosses private land, so you need permission. Signs are posted with contact details, or the Paisley Ranger District has the phone numbers.
There is no drinking water. Bring a lot of it.

The roads around this place are not maintained for a regular car. That comes from the US Forest Service, who grade every road by the kind of vehicle it is looked after for. Those records cover the roads nearby. They do not cover the last stretch in to the campsite, and nobody has checked that part. Treat this as a warning.
